Security Guard

The Security Guard ensures the safety and security of guests, staff, and property by monitoring premises, controlling access, and responding to incidents. This role involves patrolling assigned areas, documenting activities, and providing assistance to maintain a secure environment. The ideal candidate is observant, professional, and skilled in conflict resolution and emergency response.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol assigned areas, including event spaces, restaurants, bars, and conference venues, to deter and detect suspicious activity.
Verify credentials, manage entry points, and ensure only authorized individuals gain access to restricted areas.
Respond to emergencies, disturbances, or security breaches, taking appropriate action to resolve issues and maintain safety.
Document incidents, daily activities, and security checks accurately in reports and logs for management review.
Provide assistance and information to guests, clients, and staff, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

‍

High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security or law enforcement is a plus.
1-2 years of experience in security, preferably in event, hospitality, or retail environments.
Valid security guard license or certification as required by local regulations.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify potential security risks or threats.
Clear verbal and written communication skills for reporting and interacting with the public.

Nice to Have

Training in first aid or emergency response to handle on-site incidents effectively.
Experience in de-escalating tense situations and managing conflicts calmly and professionally.
Familiarity with surveillance systems, access control tools, and two-way radios.
Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods and respond quickly to emergencies.
Proficiency in more than one language to assist diverse guests and clients.
