Traffic Control Security Guard

The Traffic Control Security Guard oversees vehicle and pedestrian traffic at events, parking lots, and roadways, ensuring smooth flow and safety. This role involves enforcing traffic regulations, responding to incidents, and coordinating with security and emergency teams. The ideal candidate is certified, physically fit, and excels in high-pressure, dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and provide them with information about the event.
  • Guide attendees to their seats and assist with any inquiries.
  • Monitor crowd behavior and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Help with the setup and breakdown of event materials.
  • Report any issues to event coordinators promptly.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in traffic control or security is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in traffic control, security, or a related field, preferably in large events or high-traffic environments.
  • Valid traffic control certification (e.g., ATSSA, local traffic control training) and security guard license.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and handle physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to direct traffic clearly and confidently.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience working at large events, concerts, or festivals with complex traffic and crowd management needs.
  • Training in first aid or emergency response to handle on-site incidents effectively.
  • Proficiency in more than one language to communicate with diverse crowds.
  • Ability to quickly assess and resolve traffic-related issues in high-pressure situations.
  • Experience working closely with security teams, event staff, and local authorities.
